This is based upon an email I received many years ago and I have added to it to reflect a more universal belief system. The 4 rules to live by:
1. “Drink” from the “everlasting cup” every day. If you do not believe in an everlasting cup, at least drink from a cup half full, rather than one that is half empty.
2. “Steal” a moment to help someone that is in worse shape than you are. These days it should not be hard to find someone.
3. “Swear” that you will at least try to be better person today than yesterday.
4. And last, but not least, when you “lie” down at night, thank God or what higher power you believe in, that you live in America and have freedom. For those who do not have those freedoms, “lie” down every night knowing, you have been doing all you can, to gain them.
Life is the longest road you will ever travel. Don’t do it without a few rules to live by and something to stand for.
